Ronnie J. Grandmaison, 51, of Auburn, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 25, 2021.

Born, raised, and educated in Auburn, Ronnie was one of four sons of Rene A. and Theresa (Paquette) Grandmaison, of Auburn. He graduated from Auburn High School in 1987, where he was a student athlete in both baseball and basketball. Upon graduation, he began his career working at the former Digital Equipment Corporation in Hudson, which then became Intel, for over 25 years. Most recently, Ronnie was working for Insulet Corporation in Acton.

In his free time, he loved spending time outdoors, whether it be camping, boating, or going to his favorite place, Cape Cod.

Along with his loving parents, Ronnie leaves his two children, Ronnie M. and Rachel M. Grandmaison; his brothers, Rene J. Grandmaison and his wife Maureen, of Biddeford, ME, Randy J. Grandmaison and his wife Melissa, of Webster, and Ryan J. Grandmaison and his wife Faith, of East Brookfield; his close friend, Susan Curtis, of Webster; his best friend and faithful pup, Lucky; along with several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, 01606 (worcesterarl.org/donate/).

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Grandmaison family from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn, where masks and social distancing measures will be required. Services and burial will be held privately.

It is with deep sadness that I have to write this!
Our son Ken was great friends with Ronnie through their school years, so I am sending The Grandmaison Family our deepest sympathy, thoughts & prayers now and for the days ahead for them.

I am extremely heartbroken to hear of Ronnie's passing, we grew up together, spent summers together with Theresa, Big Rene, Ronnie, little Rene, Randy & Ryan, you were all like brothers to me, it was my 2nd home, Ronnie was always a happy, fun loving person, I enjoyed always being around. my heart aches for you all and send my thoughts and prayers with you at this difficult time. My heart goes out to your family as I remember Ronnie from when we went to school in Auburn and had the same bus stop on the street. He was always polite and had a great smile. Thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Our sincerest condolences on the loss of Ronnie. We grew up in the same neighborhood and he also happened to work with my husband at Intel. He was such a kind man with a beautiful smile, Thinking of you all!!
