Robert (Bob) C. Krikorian, of Auburn, MA, son of the late Leo and Sema Krikorian, died peacefully at home on Saturday, May 1st, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his beloved wife Judith A. (Powers) Krikorian of 54 years, his daughter Karen Hennessey and husband Kerry and their children John, Zachary, Rachel, Timothy, Andrew, Gianna, Paul, Matthew and Elizabeth of Windham, NH, his son Kevin Krikorian and wife Susan and children Matthew and James of Auburn, his daughter Susan Krikorian of Auburn, and his son John Krikorian and wife Emily and children Lillian, Katherine and Jack of Newport News, VA. He also leaves his sister Karen McGrail and husband Francis of Auburn, his brother Ronald Krikorian and wife Sally of Falmouth, MA, many in-laws from the Powers family of Leominster, MA, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Bob grew up on Bancroft Street in Worcester, graduated from South High School, and went on to earn his BS Ed and then MS Ed from Worcester State Teachers College. He proudly served in the Mass Air National Guard 101st where he completed the fast track Electronics Program. Education was always of utmost importance to Bob. He completed many credits beyond his Master’s Degree and encouraged his children, his students and others to make continued learning a priority.

Bob began his teaching career in Oxford, MA, then moved to Chandler Jr High in Worcester, and eventually returned to his alma mater South High School where he taught Physics and Electronics for 34 years. There he established the first Computer (TRS-80) Repair Program in Worcester. Bob was active in the early years of the Teacher’s Union and was a lifelong member of many professional organizations including the EAW, MTA, NEA and MAST, where he also served as President. He proudly served as Tech Prep Coordinator and then as a Consultant for 17 years. Bob received numerous recognitions and awards, including “Outstanding Science Teacher” by Massachusetts Association of Science Teachers, and “Outstanding Science Teacher of Massachusetts."

Though he was accomplished in his role as educator, Bob always placed family first and was most proud of his role as devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was also a counselor and friend to many, particularly in the areas of property and real estate. He will be greatly missed by those who were loved by him.

In lieu of flowers, a Tribute Gift may be made in Bob’s memory to either: CurePSP at 1216 Broadway, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10001 or online via psp.org/iwanttohelp/ways-to-give

Bob was the best mentor and I thought of him as a second Dad. We can’t avoid the inevitable but when someone as good as this man passes, humanity diminishes. He will be missed. Love and prayers to his wife Judy and his daughter and son. May his passing bring fond memories of him.

In loving memory of a wonderful man and to his family you will forever be in our hearts. A long time ago you opened up your arms and welcomed in a young man who needed to be loved. You did more than love him you showed him the way and gave him support with your always welcoming family and I will always be grateful for all you did. Sending thoughts and prayers on this day and wishing your whole family comfort in knowing what a wonderful man Bob was to all. Love always.

Judith and family,
Bob was perhaps one of the finest teachers I ever knew. His professionalism, his knowledge and his dedication to students
were qualities that few could match. Equally, he was one of the finest gentlemen one could hope to call a friend and a colleague.
Anyone who knew Bob would certainly say they were blessed to have known him. May your wonderful memories
see you through the days ahead, and just know he will live on in the hearts of all who loved and cared for him.
Our deepest sympathy,
Peter and Cynthia Vuona

Bob was my friend and colleague at South High. I admired him as a giver, an intelligently gifted gentleman always ready and willing to go out of his way to help a student and aid a fellow teacher. His infectious smile and can do attitude touched me and his many many students, especially those youngsters who moved to a different beat. He stood out as a teacher precisely because he was a decent man of unmatched integrity, decency and honor. Go in peace, my friend.
