Bob grew up on Bancroft Street in Worcester, graduated from South High School, and went on to earn his BS Ed and then MS Ed from Worcester State Teachers College. He proudly served in the Mass Air National Guard 101st where he completed the fast track Electronics Program. Education was always of utmost importance to Bob. He completed many credits beyond his Master’s Degree and encouraged his children, his students and others to make continued learning a priority.

Bob began his teaching career in Oxford, MA, then moved to Chandler Jr High in Worcester, and eventually returned to his alma mater South High School where he taught Physics and Electronics for 34 years. There he established the first Computer (TRS-80) Repair Program in Worcester. Bob was active in the early years of the Teacher’s Union and was a lifelong member of many professional organizations including the EAW, MTA, NEA and MAST, where he also served as President. He proudly served as Tech Prep Coordinator and then as a Consultant for 17 years. Bob received numerous recognitions and awards, including “Outstanding Science Teacher” by Massachusetts Association of Science Teachers, and “Outstanding Science Teacher of Massachusetts."

Though he was accomplished in his role as educator, Bob always placed family first and was most proud of his role as devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was also a counselor and friend to many, particularly in the areas of property and real estate. He will be greatly missed by those who were loved by him.
