Obituary for David L. "Dave" Orsi
David L. “Dave” Orsi, 79, of Auburn, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 6, 2022 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center.
He leaves his loving wife of almost 44 years, Deborah A. (Powers) Orsi; His children: Karen Orsi and partner Jeff, of North Brookfield, Mark Orsi and wife Amy, of Millbury, Michael Orsi and wife Ana, of Sonoma, CA, and Megan Orsi, of Auburn; grandchildren: Emily, Margaret, Glenna, Moira, Iain, and Chapin Jones, Aaron, Ryan, Eva, and Johnny Orsi, Kylie, Crista, and Bella George; great-grandchildren: Isla and Esme Sparrow, and Cameron Orsi; his siblings, Roger Orsi, of Sutton, Linda Fyrberg, of Spencer, Louis Orsi, of Millbury, and Brenda Beshai, of Welaka, FL; along with several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a sister, Elvira Orsi, and a brother, Paul Orsi.
Dave was born in Worcester, to the late Louis and Rosalie (Lyons) Orsi, and he lived most of his life in Auburn.
He was self-employed for many years in his family’s cabinet business, Orsi and Sons, before retiring in 2009.
Dave and Debbie enjoyed being snowbirds in Florida every winter. Earlier in life he enjoyed being part of the Auburn youth soccer program, coaching for many years. Dave also enjoyed playing golf, especially with his close friends Steve, Larry, and Ken. Most of all, he loved taking care of his grandchildren, being a practical joker, and teasing them to no end. He will be deeply missed by so many.
Dave’s family honored his life privately, and burial was held at Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. The Britton-Wallace Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
