Obituary for Viola E. Guillett (Orcutt)

Viola E. (Orcutt) Guillett, 78, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Roger A. Guillett, in 2017.

She leaves her devoted daughters, Susan P. Kibe, of Auburn, and Nancy E. Moore and her husband Demetra, of Worcester; her grandchildren, Keisha Moses, Austin J. Weagle, Alyssa Moses, Joshua K. Weagle; her Godchildren, Michele Williams, of Worcester, and Linda Orcutt; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Viola was also preceded by her siblings, Sylvinus, Frederick, and Edward Orcutt; and their parents, Rev. Sylvinus O. Orcutt and Olive M. (Best) Orcutt.

She was born in Worcester, attended and graduated from the Beverly School of the Deaf, Class of 1962. Viola was a cheerleader, and played basketball. She was always very active in the Deaf Community, and was a member of the Worcester Deaf Club.

Before meeting Roger and having children, she worked at C.A. Grosvenor Shoe Company in Worcester. Later in life, she loved taking care of her grandchildren daily.
In her free time, Viola enjoyed scrapbooking and travelling with her husband around New England. She was also a “Red Hatter” in the Red Hat Society.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Guillett family from 4 – 7 PM on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. Burial will be held privately.
