Elizabeth Ann “Betty” (Shea) Fanion, 84, lifelong Auburn resident, passed away in the comfort of her home on Saturday, June 4, 2022 with her loving family by her side. She was recently predeceased by her beloved husband, Norman A. “Bubba” Fanion, Sr., in November of 2021.
Betty leaves her devoted children, Cheryl A. Setterlund and her husband Stanley, of Leicester, Arthur W. Fanion and his wife Sharon, of Spencer, Donna M. Camarra, of Auburn, Russell J. Fanion, of Sterling, Denise J. Fagan and her husband Colin, of Charlton, and Norman A. Fanion, Jr. of Auburn; her grandchildren, Eric, Elise, Corey, Zachary, Megan, Jesse, Cody, Ashley, Tyler, Jason, Jessica, and Norman, III; her great-grandchildren, Cassandra, Victoria, Norman, IV, Addison, Harlon, and two on the way, whom she was so excited to meet; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was born in Worcester, to the late John and Beatrice (LaPlante) Shea; Betty was raised and educated in Auburn, as a graduate of Auburn High School. She had an extensive career as a Cash Room Attendant first working in the Auburn Mall, and most recently working for Big Y.
Betty was an avid reader, and loved speed-reading her favorite mystery and suspense novels. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Fanion family from 9 – 10 AM on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central St., Auburn, with a service to follow at 10. Burial will be held in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn.
