Pauline B. Cusson, 92, of Auburn, MA passed away peacefully at home on January 24, 2023 surrounded by family.
Pauline had a vibrant, full life. Daughter of immigrant parents from Poland, she grew up in Auburn and later married the boy next door, her husband of 59 years, Paul Cusson. Together they raised four children, Tom, Barbara, James and Amy. She was first and foremost an awesome homemaker and devoted mother to her children. She enjoyed being co-pilot to her husband as they flew around New England. Together they also traveled across the country, took many cruises and visited Aruba countless times. She was a baker, cake decorator, cribbage card shark, home entertainer, country square dancer and in later years an avid flower gardener. Going out to dine was a favorite pastime and she was known to enjoy the occasional chocolate martini. And of course, routinely having her hair done by her cousin Chris was a must.
Pauline was predeceased by her husband Paul and daughter Amy Ouellette and grandson Daniel Cusson. She is survived by her children, Thomas Cusson & wife Michelle Delemarre, Barbara Walsh & her husband Dennis Walsh, James Cusson & wife Sue Cusson, seven grandchildren: Brooke, Caitlin, Patrick, Ryan, Lisa, Nicholas & Dylan; four great grandchildren: Mikayla, Jamie, Jake & Claire; and two great-great grandchildren, Riley & Aurora.
Private graveside services will be held for Pauline’s family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org/donate).
