Obituary for Ralph Michael "Mike" Risotti

Ralph Michael “Mike” Risotti, 75, of Worcester and Auburn, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Hermitage Healthcare, with his loving family by his side.

Mike leaves his children, Michael Risotti, of Greensboro, NC, Danielle Cunningham and her husband Darryl, of Boston, and Sarah Risotti, of North Brookfield; his grandchildren, Taylor Westcott, Jacob Westcott, and Noah Risotti; his siblings, Richard Risotti, of Zionville, IN, Donna Maki, of Union Grove, NC, and Angie Risotti-Rios, of Ramona, CA; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Claire (Adams) Farrell Risotti; his sister, Linda Sedgwick; and their parents, Ralph and Mary (Phillipo) Risotti.

Mike was born in Framingham, and was raised and educated in Worcester. At 19, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. and served his country proudly for four years until his honorable discharge. Upon returning home, he attended and graduated from New England Tech and Worcester Polytechnic Institute, specializing in HVAC.

Mike worked for Digital Equipment Corp for many years, and later for Worcester State University, where he retired as Facilities Manager and HVAC Technician.

He was known to be an avid Sudoku player, loved karaoke and dancing, and hiking, especially searching for waterfalls. Mike was a proud Marine Corps. veteran who never left home without a Marine Corps. hat. He’ll be remembered for his ability to light up a room with his energy and for being the life of the party.

He was a member of the Auburn and Spencer American Legion Posts, and was former director of the Emergency Management Agency (Civil Defense), in Spencer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org/donate).

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Risotti family from 11 AM – 12:30 PM on Friday, March 31, 2023 at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. Burial with military honors will be immediately follow at Hillside Cemetery.
