Obituary for Nancy E. "Nan" Stone
Nancy Elizabeth (Cahill) Stone, 84, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 8, 2023, at Dodge Park Rest Home.
Nancy leaves her son, Robert D. “Bobby” Stone, Jr., of Brockton, and his former wife Michele Stone, of Webster; her daughter, Beth A. Figuerido and her husband Tony, of Auburn; her beloved granddaughters, Nicole Stone and her boyfriend John, of Webster, and Danyel Stone and her fiancé Cam, of Charlton; her siblings, sister, Karen Maynard and her husband Bill, and brother, Gregory L. Cahill; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her former husband, Robert D. Stone, Sr.; brothers, William Cahill and Harold Cahill; her father, William T. Cahill and his wife Alice.
Nancy was born in Framingham and was raised and educated in Millbury. She graduated from Millbury High School, before beginning her career. Nan enjoyed working for Sears & Roebuck for many years, then worked at McCrillis & Keep Insurance Agency, both in Auburn.
In her free time, Nan loved to sew, quilt and craft. She loved taking trips and travelling with her friends and family, who meant the world to her. Nan was also an avid reader and loved a good murder-mystery. She loved a fun shopping excursion with her family and friends. She especially loved chocolate and never turned down a hot fudge sundae! She adored her grandchildren and found joy in learning of all their accomplishments. Nancy was known for her spunk and feisty personality which will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Stone family from 9 – 10:30 AM on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, with a period of remembrance at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at North Cemetery, Oxford.
