Obituary for Theresa M. (Ducharme) Rodowicz

Theresa M. (Ducharme) Rodowicz, 92, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on the morning of Tuesday, January 16, 2024, in the comfort of her home, with her loving daughter by her side.

She was predeceased by the love of her life, her beloved husband of 39 years, Henry A. Rodowicz, in 2015; her son, Paul M. Paroyian, Jr., in 2013; and her brother, Raymond A. Ducharme, in 2007. Theresa leaves her devoted and loving daughter, Donna J. Gagnon, of Worcester, who cared for her in her final months; her granddaughter, Kayla A. Paroyian, of Woburn; her daughter-in-law, Kelly Paroyian, of Worcester; her sister, Jeannette Boyd, of St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada; along with several nieces and nephews.

Theresa was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, to the late Alfred and Flora (LaPlume) Ducharme. She was raised and educated in Worcester, graduating from Commerce High School, Class of 1949. Theresa worked at Kadant Solutions, formerly Lodding Engineering, retiring after many years of dedication.

She was a phenomenal cook, and loved to entertain for all holiday gatherings and family cookouts. Theresa loved to travel, and travelled extensively throughout Europe, as well. She was a devout Catholic and was a faithful member of St. Joseph’s Church in Auburn.

Theresa’s family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Care Central VNA & Hospice for their dedicated and compassionate care during these last few months.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:30 – 10:30 AM on Monday, January 22, 2024 at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central St., Auburn. Her funeral Mass will follow, and will be celebrated at 11 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford St. N., Auburn, with burial to be held at Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
