Obituary for Hayden F. Estrada, Iv

West Boylston-Hayden Francis Estrada, IV, 50, of West Boylston passed away Tuesday October 12, 2010 after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife Nona Ai-Estrada, of West Boylston, his daughter Kaighla Rose Estrada, and son Hayden Francis Estrada, V, both of Cumming GA, his father Hayden F. Estrada, III, of South Dakota and his mother Emma Cardona y King, of FL, his brothers; Robert Leon Estrada, of Flowery Branch, GA, and John Alan Estrada of Auburn AL, and several nieces and nephews. He was born in Memphis, TN, and educated in Alabama and Georgia schools. Mr. Estrada received his Bachelors degree from Johnson & Wales University and his MBA from Babson College.



Hayden was the Assistant Dean of Admissions at the Boston University School of Management for the last 5 years, he had previously been the Director of Admissions at the University of Notre Dame, Vanderbilt University and the University of Maryland.



Hayden was a gentleman farmer in West Boylston. He especially enjoyed gourmet cooking and dining. He was a seasoned traveler and maintained a special appreciation for his Mexican heritage. Hayden was the Vice President, Education, of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs.



A service of remembrance will be held at Boston University School of Management Executive Leadership Center (4th floor), 595 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 23. An informal gathering and celebration of his life will be held at Hayden’s home from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 24.



Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to The Hayden Estrada Memorial Fund at Citizens Bank and will be used to fund Heifer International’s work in Thailand.

The Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, is assisting the family with arrangements.
