Obituary for Anthony Ireland

Biddeford, ME – Anthony Michael Ireland, "Ant", 28, died unexpectedly Friday June 27, 2008. He was the son of Sarah Ireland and Rita Paradise of Worcester. He leaves a brother Shawn and his wife Jahaida, a brother,Dan and a sister Erin, all of Worcester. Anthony was the nephew of Pene Chambers and Tom Falcone of Baltimore, Maryland, Polly Ireland and Mike Knox of Lincolnville, Maine, and Jeff and Mary Ireland of Laverne, California. He was the cousin of Sue, Chris, Bill, Matt, Tim and Myles, uncle of Iesha, Shawnathan and Shayanne. He also leaves a paternal grandmother, Joan Perez, of Worcester. He was predeceased by his "other mother", Michele Lynn Walker, who shared the joy of raising Anthony with his mom, and with whom he will rest forever.
Anthony was born in Worcester, raised in Natick, MA, and lived on Cape Cod for the last 10 years.
Anthony had a lifelong passion for creating and playing "techno" music, which led to his career as a well known disc jockey, playing throughout New England and most recently in New York City. Anthony also loved playing various parts in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, in which he performed numerous times. He was an accomplished chef who enjoyed cooking for his family, to whom he was devoted. He called home " just to say I love you" almost every day, and saying he will be missed does not describe the pain and sadness felt by his family. Remember to look to the first star you see each night, and that you can speak to him every day. His spirit will shine forever upon those who loved him so dearly.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday July 2nd from 4-7 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn, MA. A memorial service celebrating Anthony's life will be held on Thursday July 3rd at 11 AM in the Hadwen Park Church, 6 Clover Street, Worcester, MA.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hadwen Park Church with memo: camp scholarships, 6 Clover Street, Worcester, MA.
