Obituary for
Arthur Yaskis
AUBURN, MA-Arthur V. Yaskis, 92, formerly of Elbridge Rd., died Saturday January 26th in Life Care Center of Auburn, after an illness.
His wife, Betty Jane (Kerr) Yaskis died in 1995.
He leaves his daughter, Ruthann E. Garden of Millbury; his son, Richard A. Yaskis of Webster; his six grandchildren, Leanne and Alisa Brown, Lane, Joseph, Michael and Andrew Yaskis. Besides his wife, Arthur was also predeceased by his son Ronnie A. Yaskis in 2005 and his brother Albert Yaskis in 2007.
He was born in Worcester, son of the late Stanley and Domicelli (Yanka) Yaskis and has lived in Auburn for many years. He was a proud Army veteran of World War II, serving in Asiatic Pacific Theater.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Yaskis worked as a butcher for Cowan Beef in Worcester. He previously worked for Fairway Beef in Worcester, and for several Boston area beef companies.
He was a longtime member of the Lithuanian Naturalization Club in Worcester.
Services and burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton will be private.
