Dear Joyce, Janet and Judith and families - We send our love to each of you and thank you for sharing your mother with us. Our memories are precious to each of us. We loved your mother for her mothering of us – and for her love of our mother. Mother treasured her associations with your mother in the Girl Scouts and so enjoyed the hours they spent together at the American Antiquarian Society. Both she and your dad blessed our family. Gen shared many experiences, some very trying, with our mother. When our father died in 1966, your mother wrote --- “Ora, I am trying to hold you fast but I feel you tugging. Try to relax now. Much love, Gen.” Now they are together again, watching over their children and grand children, holding fast to one another, as they relax in that ‘better place’. With love for your mother, your father and for each of you, we pray that love may surround and faith sustain you - Bill, Jean, Gretchen and Peter Knecht
