Richard Grenon Sr.
Richard “Rick” Grenon, Sr., 57, of Clinton died unexpectedly on Sunday May 7, 2017 after being stricken ill at home.
He was born in Worcester, son of the late Ernest L. Grenon Sr., and Florence I. (Driscoll) Grenon. He graduated from Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical High School in 1978.
He leaves his children, Veronica R. Shannon and her husband, Douglas of Jefferson; Zachary E. Grenon of Clinton and Richard Hutnak of Florida; six siblings, Susan Moore and her husband Lawrence Sr. of Connecticut, Florence Mason and her husband Steven of Leicester, Jeanne Roach of Clinton, Shirley Antinarella and her husband Edward of Hubbardston, Stephen Grenon of Middleboro and Rosemary Paquette and her husband Michael of Rutland; also, survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Ernest Grenon Jr.
Rick owned and operated Rick Electric Alarm Systems for over twenty years, with his son joining him for the last eight years. He valued the freedom of entrepreneurship and taking care of customers was his highest priority. He enjoyed being surrounded by his family, telling stories, making people laugh and playing games. Some of his hobbies included online gaming, golfing, playing his guitar and graphic design.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Rick’s family on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 3-5 pm in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. A prayer service will conclude the evening at 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Heart Association, (www.heart.org).
