Obituary for Anne M. "Nana" Delage
Anne M. “Nana” (Rigg) Delage, 85, of Auburn and New Smyrna Beach, Florida joined her husband Robert “Tiny” Delage (1998) on Saturday February 8, 2014 surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her family; James and his wife Cheryl, Karen and Ron. Her loving grandchildren; Jeremy, Holly, Danielle, Jorden, and Andrew, and great grandchildren; Tomas, Quintinn, and Autumn, whom she loved dearly. Also Members of her extended family included the Eames and Victor families as well as Dexter, Tristin and Nikita and her beloved dog Victoria.
Nana was born in Glasgow Scotland the daughter of the late James and Mary (Walker) Rigg.
She worked as a bookkeeper in Scotland, and after coming to America worked at Woolworth’s lunch counter but mostly spent her life raising her family and always caring for others. She was fiercely proud of her Scottish heritage and a lifelong member of the Daughters of Scotia Thistle Lodge #2 in Worcester.
Nana’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Second Floor Staff of the Beaumont Nursing facility of Worcester, and the staff of Summit Eldercare, Grafton St, Worcester and Charlton MA for the special care extended to Nana.
A celebration of Nana’s life will be held on her birthday March 16, 2014 at Halligans Royal Lounge Auburn MA from 12PM to 6PM.
Memorial donations may be made to the Peace Team at Beaumont of Worcester, Summit Eldercare, The Diabetes Association or Mass Eye and Ear Hospital.
