Although the pain does not easily disappear, prayer to God does bring comfort. We are assured of Gods comfort because he is described at 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 as the "God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials. "God does care He invites you at 1 Peter 5:7 to "Throw all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." May Gods word and all the wonderful memories you've shared together bring you comfort.
