Condolence: So very sorry to hear of Professor Wu's passing. He was so dedicated to his students and it made a big difference in my life. I am really grateful to have had him as my organic chemistry professor. Sending my sympathies to his family.
Condolence: We are greatly saddened to hear about the passing of Dr. Carl Wu, a great mentor, colleague and a wonderful friend. Carl was an fierce advocate of public education. His dedication to student recruitment and career development has always inspired us. Carl and his beloved wife, Shenshen- established the South Coast Chinese Association (now known as the Southeastern Massachusetts Chinese Association) and provided great service to the Chinese community there for many decades. Their legacy lives on.
Sorry for your loss. I never met Dr. Wu but he will be missed around the Greater New Bedford area. When I am in New Bedford or Dartmouth, I will think about Dr. Wu and his legacy he leaves behind.
Condolence: To Michael, Margaret and family,
I have fond memories of both your parents and their involvement in Dartmouth Middle School where I worked as asst. principal. They were so proud of their children’s achievements . My daughter took a chemistry class with Dr Wu and her made her feel comfortable in the evening classes even to seeing she was safe while waiting for her father to pick her up. When my daughter applied to college he encouraged her to apply to Penn because of Margaret’s success there. She did and graduated in 1996. So thank him in your heart for us. He, and your mother will leave a lasting memory in Dartmouth.
Condolence: It is with great sorrow to learn of the passing of a good friend, neighbor and the best bridge player I ever known. Carl and his beloved wife Shensen were truly beloved people and generous to a fault. The most welcoming neighbors I ever known.
They neighborhood will never be the same without them.
