He gave me a Chinese Name

Some years ago Carl taught a course at the Worcester Art Museum on the History and Culture of China. I was and still am a teacher of "Brush Painting" there. I took the course to learn more about the History and Culture of a country that I had visited with a bunch of artists in the mid 90's. We hit if off and subsequently, I did a segment on the development of the arts in China. He gave me my name which, he told me means "goddess" after the Goddess Peak as seen from the River. Later, he came to several events of the Silk Road Art Guild and on my birthday came to a Gallery opening at the Worcester Public Library and presented me with two beuatiful scrolls. One is of Wisteria and the other a landscape. I love them, but if any member of fhe family would like to have them, I would be willing to present them. I am almost exactly Carl's age at 83 and so don't get around easily and most likely I won't be able to attend the calling hours on Friday.
